Beckwourth Outdoor Education
Founded in 1998 and has benefited over 1000 Metro Denver urban youth. Eighty-nine percent of OEC youth reside in single-parent households. This FREE program offers year- round trips to national parks, state parks, wilderness areas, and cultural/scientific institutions. All food, transportation and outdoor equipment are provided. Not a camp, the OEC is a nationally recognized life-changing mentoring and leadership development program for youth ages 8-18.
Project Healing Waters
Dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and veterans through fly fishing and fly tying education and outings.
$1,000 renewable for four years enrolled in college with a B average or higher.
$2,500 awarded to outstanding performer - as an indication of our commitment to these youths ambitions and to encourage them to always bring their best selves to everything they do. We provide these opportunities due to the generous funding of the Zoelimax Outdoor Education Foundation
Elk Outdoor Education
Provides an opportunity by engaging and mentoring youth through engaging science education and leadership development programs that provide a real-life context for learning.
